Bookings
Table bookings in the app, or linked to the booking system you already use.
Delivery, your way
Get set up on Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Just Eat, or deliver from your own app with an on-demand courier, so the customer stays yours.
In the app stores, under your name
In the App Store and Google Play under your own business name, or as a web app customers add to their home screen with no download.
Why your own app
- Your customers stay yours: you see who orders and can invite them back.
- No marketplace commission on orders through your own app.
- Your name on the home screen of your regulars' phones, next to the big apps.
- Built and looked after for you, so you can get on with running the place.

Questions
How much does an app cost?
Apps start from £3,500. The price depends on what it needs to do, and you get a fixed quote with the brief before any work starts. Hosting and updates are a monthly plan, quoted at the same time.
How long does it take?
It depends on what the app needs to do. You get a timeline with the brief, before you commit to anything.
Will it be in the App Store?
Yes, if you want it there. Apple and Google require restaurant apps to be published under the business's own developer account, so we set that up with you. Apple charges a yearly fee for the account and Google a one-off fee. If you would rather skip the stores, a web app works on any phone with no download.
Can you connect it to my till or booking system?
Often, depending on the system. Tell us what you use and we will check before we quote.
Do I need a featured page as well?
No, but they work well together: your featured page on Whitstable Insider can send people straight to your app.
